I need a new foundation

Ladies, I am in desperate need of your help! I am currently using the Maybeline Fit Me foundation  but want to get a better high end foundation. I like the Fit Me but it tends to melt off my face and make me look shiny. Do any of you have a recommendation for your favorite foundation? HELP, please:)

  1. I absolutely love Bare Essentials make-up.

They have a starter kits that includes Foundation, Powder, Warmth, 3 brushes, and cleaner for $62. I bought mine in March, and I am still using it, and I haven't run out yet!!

At first I was like, no, I want a liquid foundation. But now, I am sold and I will never go back. There is no shine, it is fantastic!

If you have a local store nearby you then you can go in and they will do your make-up for you, that way you can find the perfect match for your skin color. They fill out beauty profiles for you and are so wonderful!

My make-up is now about 90% from this store. You would love it! Just sold my sister on it too!

  3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - too light for winter; Bare Escentuals - too drying; Clinique Acne Solutions - great coverage, price point, and keeps your skin looking smooth as glass! All the girls at Sephora with the perfect looking skin tell me that this is what they use. Good luck!

  5. I agree with Jen! Bare Escentuals has definitely been my favorite full coverage makeup. I started using their products over two years ago and have been 100% happy. You can purchase a starter kit through Sephora. When I run out, I just purchase another starter kit.

  7. I use Bare Minerals, and have been using it for YEARS, and I seriously love it. It's a little pricier than drugstore foundation but one little jar of it lasts me a good six months. It covers really well and eliminates all shine. You should go to Ulta and have them try it out!

  8. I also like the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer! (It comes in a powder compact now, too, which is pretty cool!)

I personally go for a pretty sheer coverage and I really like Garnier's BB Cream. Not high end, but I like it! :)

  10. so happy to find your lovely blog! I use Bare Minerals and absolutely love it! I am a ballerina and sweat like crazy while working out... and it never melts off! Also being a ballerina, I know that MAC makeup is considered "stage make up"... it is made for staying put! I say if you want to try something entirely new- go for bare minerals! If you are looking for a similar product, just higher end... than go for MAC. Hope that helps! xo

  13. Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW. I love it and you only have to use a little bit! I bought it around 5 months ago for $30 and I still have plenty left (I use it almost daily).

  14. Hello, so glad I found your blog! I used to use the fit foundation too but I found it didn't have much coverage at all and was more like a tinted moisturiser or something. I have recently started using Revlon Colourstay foundation and hooly moly it is perfect! There were so many amazing reviews, I bought some and I love it. It has perfect coverage, doesn't make me look orange and it stays on the whole day. Like yesterday I put it on in the morning, did errands, cleaned the house and everything else and by 6pm it still looked like I had just done my face, a winner in my books! ps following you right now! xo
